Why can’t people lose weight?

We live in the 21st century and theoretically we have everything at our fingertips. We have an overload of information and basically we can fire up YouTube, listen to a few people and start acting on our own. People’s awareness is also growing and more and more people “want to do something with themselves”. My experience shows me that not everyone, or rather a few, manage to do it on their own.

See what it’s all about…

Those who do not manage to achieve their goal on their own decide to seek the help of a coach, who is the last resort. They often say – I’ve tried everything and even when I succeeded, there was a yo-yo effect. This is often due to taking shortcuts and blindly believing that something new is better than traditional solutions. Example? Training in a vest is better than without, classes with a belt on your stomach will burn fat faster, this supplement will make me reach my goal faster.

This type of treatment often ends in hormonal problems, increased stress, anxiety or depression. Example: I worked for a long time with a woman who had tried everything before. The effects were really zero. Her hormonal balance was in a tragic state, and her self-confidence was at an even lower level. She was a fierce woman who treated cooperation with a personal trainer as her last resort. Today she is a dozen or so kilograms slimmer and has a better life.

I’m not saying that everyone has to work out with me – but on the other hand, why not?  I’m just a supporter of not wasting time on something I can’t do on my own. Therefore, this article will be helpful to you if so far:

– you’ve tried everything

– after good results, everything came back with a vengeance

– you were in a fitness club, but you didn’t know how to get around

– you have pain in various areas of the body

The best way

Paleo, ketogenic, vegan, vegetarian or cabbage diets. Perhaps you are expecting a golden shot that I will tell you what is best and you will start applying it. Ok, let me tell you! The best diet is the one that you are able to maintain for the rest of your life and maintaining it is not a sacrifice for you. The only exception is disease entities. It’s not the trendy menus from fit celebrities who eat differently themselves that are the best for losing weight. Common sense and understanding that:

LOSING WEIGHT IS A MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT! If you want to lose weight quickly, cut off your leg

And I would like to point out that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes. If someone showed me how to repair the engine in my car, I wouldn’t be able to do it myself either. I made a lot of nutritional mistakes in my life before I became a coach. I manoeuvred between menus, products and solutions. I acted like a fish that you pull out of the water – that’s why I know how you feel. I am a living example that this topic can be embraced.

Give yourself time…

So what if you tighten your belt for 2-3 weeks and lose 10 kilograms? After all, you can’t live like that! Then everything will come back, because you will throw yourself at food and give yourself permission to eat what you have at hand, because it will be a reward for hard days of work on yourself. What comes quickly, goes quickly.

It all starts in the head. Yes, I know you’ve heard it a million times before. However, this one will be effective. We, people who are not professional athletes, are best at changing our figure in a situation where we do not do it over dead bodies. When we do not decide to make sacrifices that make our lives difficult. I am a supporter of taking small steps, but every day and quite quickly. If we are not prepared to jump over a large puddle, we will either be wet and dirty or we will jump over and break our knee. It’s easier to walk past – without injury or dirt.

The same applies to training. People who come to me tell me:

– I was convinced that you would judge me, but I was positively surprised

– I thought I would die after training, and it’s pretty cool; I’m tired, but so positive

– I thought you would stand next to the machine and just count the repetitions

Physical activity is not doomsday training. Of course, it’s worth sweating, and it’s best to like it, but it’s not about leaving the room on your knees. Classes are supposed to help us function, not hinder them. Therefore, throwing yourself in at the deep end will not be a good solution. Technique is also crucial. My clients often do “simple” exercises that are so well done that they then say: I didn’t think that such a simple EXERCISE X could finish me off so nicely.
